My Interpretation of Kant
Kant is like a spider philosopher, spinning a web of concepts that traps himself. He turns some of the common experiences of ordinary people into a philosophical system with strong epistemological interests.
He insists on defining "sublime" and "divine knowledge" as judgments! When a poet says, "My galloping horse is a beautiful mistake / I am not a settler, I am a passerby..." does that constitute an aesthetic judgment? And when Bach writes "Erbarme dich, mein Gott," is it a collection of teleological judgments?
Kant only knows language, but not the meaning beyond language. He only knows judgment, but not the language games of admiration, praise, exploration, mourning, confession, self-blame, and prayer.
