Company Introduction
Chung Hwa Book Company was founded in Shanghai in 1912. The Hong Kong branch of Chung Hwa was established in 1927 and formally registered as Chung Hwa Book (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. in 1988. Chung Hwa is also a founding member of the Sino United Publishing Group which is the largest publishing group in Hong Kong. Over the past 100 years, Chung Hwa has been dedicated to enlightening education, promoting traditional Chinese culture and expanding reading horizons. Chung Hwa provides a wide variety of publications on Chinese history and culture, classical works of literature and philosophy, essays on contemporary China, children's readings and dictionaries, and books on popular culture and self-improvement. Chung Hwa has won numerous local and international book prizes including, among others, Hong Kong Book Prize, Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards, Taipei International Book Exhibition Prize, International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) Book Prize and Asia Book Awards. In addition to 'Chung Hwa Book', Chung Hwa has three imprints: Kaiming Book, Extraordinary Publishing and Chung Hwa Education Publishing.
